On Thursday June 14th I assisted Dusty with the building of a studio space that he shares with Melinda, Richard, and Margaret. From 12pm until 3pm I framed out a wall and put up sheet-rock. On Tuesday June 20th I returned to assist with installing a door from 5pm till 7pm. The group of artists’ goal for this project is to create a space where they can make and sell their artwork as well as run a pod-casting studio.

img_0485.JPGOn Friday June 16th I assisted Artists Peter and Brett with the the construction of Photographer Marcus’ studio. From 12pm until 4pm I framed out walls and hung sheet-rock . Peter and Brett’s ultimate goal for this project is to barter their labor and skills in exchange for studio space to create artwork.

img_0421.JPGOn Saturday June 17th I assisted May with designing a mock up of a look-book for her new line of women’s fashion designs. From 10:15 until 2pm I cut out photographs, assisted with editing and layout decisions, taped photographs in place, and made suggestions on how to possibly bind the book. May’s goal for this project is to print 50 copies of the book to distribute to clients as well as potential clients.

img_0478.JPGOn Friday June 23rd I assisted Josh with making and delivering cookies. From 9am until 1pm I shopped for cookie dough, walnuts and a cookie sheet, I baked the cookies, penned a thank you note for Josh and hand delivered the cookies to the specific recipient. Josh’s goal for this project was to show his gratitude to the director of an arts foundation who has listed his website free of charge.

img_0491.JPGOn Tuesday June 23rd I assisted Loren with publicity materials and organization of her archive for her organization Art for Healing. From 12pm until 2pm I took apart a picture frame, wrote an addendum on several post cards, I then archived press clippings, publicity materials and correspondences. Loren’s goal for this project is to archive Art for Healing’s history as well as get the word out about the 9/11 book project.

img_0497.JPG On Wednesday June 28th I assisted Corey with finding subjects to sit for his photography project. From 12am until 1am I composed an email and sent it out to my entire contacts list, I then solicited potential models on this web page by listing his email address. If you are interested in sitting please contact him atarmpriester@comcast .net. Corey’s goal for this project is to find people who can cry real tears so that he can photograph them for an exhibition he is having in October.

On Saturday September 16th I assisted Nathan with cutting out figures that he wanted to transfer onto silkscreens. From 11pm until 3am I cut out several figures and assisted him with fixing the light box used to make silkscreens. Nathan’s goal for this project is to create clothing designs for an upcoming trade show.
